Error Code Reference Guide
How to use this guide
Find your error code in the table below. Try the listed resolution steps before contacting support. If the issue persists after following the steps, submit a ticket and include the error code in your description.
| Code | Meaning | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| ERR001 | Authentication failed | Your username or password is incorrect. Passwords are case-sensitive. Use the Forgot password link to reset. |
| ERR002 | Session expired | Your login session timed out after inactivity. Log in again. If you were in an exam, reopen from the portal — your progress is saved. |
| ERR003 | Connection lost | Your internet connection was interrupted. Check your connection, wait 30 seconds, and reload the page. Do not restart your computer if you are mid-exam. |
| ERR004 | Camera not detected | ProProctor cannot access your webcam. Close all other video applications and relaunch ProProctor. See: Proctor Connection Issues. |
| ERR005 | Browser not supported | You are using an unsupported browser. Switch to Chrome 110+ or Firefox 108+. See: Browser Compatibility for Timed Assessments. |
| ERR006 | Exam slot expired | Your scheduled exam slot expired (15 minutes after start time). Contact your institution coordinator to rebook. This cannot be reset by support. |
| ERR007 | Access denied | Your account does not have access to this resource. This may mean the exam has already been completed, the ATT has not been issued, or your account is not yet active. Submit a ticket with your account email and exam name. |
| ERR010 | ProProctor not running | ProProctor must be running before you click the exam link. Launch ProProctor from your desktop shortcut, wait for the green indicator, then try again. |
| ERR015 | Insufficient bandwidth | Your internet speed is below the minimum required (5 Mbps download, 2 Mbps upload). Move closer to your router, disconnect other devices from the network, or use a wired ethernet connection. |
