Software Is Slow or Not Responding
Slowness in the practice management software is most often caused by a local network issue, a workstation restart that is overdue, or a software update waiting to install.
Try these steps first
- Save any open work and close the software.
- Restart the workstation. Do not just log off — choose Restart from the Start menu.
- After the computer restarts, wait 2 minutes for background services to load, then open the software again.
- If the software is still slow, check if other computers in the office have the same issue. If yes, the problem may be the office network.
- If only your workstation is affected, clear the application cache: close the software, navigate to C:\Users\[YourName]\AppData\Local\Temp, delete all files in the folder, and reopen the software.
If the problem continues
Submit a ticket at domain.zendesk.com. Select IT Support > Application Issue. Include the following:
- The name of the software and the version if visible in the Help menu
- The office location and workstation number
- How many workstations are affected
- Whether the issue started after a recent update or change
Tip Do not reschedule patients due to a software issue before contacting IT. In most cases, the service desk can resolve the issue remotely while the office continues operating. |
