Set Up Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)

Multi-factor authentication is required for all Domain accounts. Set it up from any smartphone using the Microsoft Authenticator app.

 

First-time setup

  1. Download Microsoft Authenticator on your smartphone from the App Store or Google Play.
  2. On your computer, open a browser and go to aka.ms/mfasetup.
  3. Sign in with your Domain email address.
  4. Click Add method and select Authenticator app.
  5. Click Next and open the Microsoft Authenticator app on your phone.
  6. Tap the + icon in the app and select Work or school account.
  7. Scan the QR code displayed on your computer screen.
  8. Enter the 6-digit code shown in the app to verify. Click Next.
  9. MFA is active. You will be prompted on your phone each time you sign in.

 

 

Tip

Getting a new phone? Set up MFA on the new device before deactivating the old one. If you have already switched phones, contact IT Support to reset your MFA enrollment.
