The Domain VPN allows secure access to internal systems from outside the office. Most connection issues are resolved by reinstalling the VPN client or clearing cached credentials.
Cannot connect to VPN
- Check your internet connection. Open a browser and confirm you can access any public website.
- Close the VPN client completely. On Windows, right-click the VPN icon in the system tray and select Quit or Exit.
- Reopen the VPN client and try connecting again.
- If you see an Authentication failed error, your password may have changed. Use your current Windows password to connect.
- If you see a Connection timeout error, your network may be blocking VPN traffic. Try switching from Wi-Fi to a mobile hotspot or try from a different network.
- If none of the above works, uninstall and reinstall the VPN client. The installer is available on the IT portal under Software Downloads.
Tip VPN is not required for Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Teams, SharePoint) or the Domain employee portal. Only connect to VPN when accessing internal systems that specifically require it. |
